Virtually the entire country is in a severe drought. Americans can’t catch a break between sky high oil prices, collapsing real estate, declining incomes, unemployment and the threat of another recession. Now we face the prospect of a major increase in food prices due to the destruction of food crops due to the drought – and no, there’s nothing the government can do to save us.
Am I imagining it or have things gotten much worse in this country over the past decade?
